This observational documentary series follows officers from The Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals as they go about their daily routines, which are far from routine. Whether it is 11 bears and three tigers kept in a back yard, or a chimp found smoking and drinking or witnessing the biggest dog-fighting ring in US history, the Animal Cops day is varied as it is dangerous. In this series we follow the dedicated team of police and animal welfare officers as they gather evidence and build cases, calling on all their expertise and resources in a relentless quest for justice. Life may be tough for the animals of Houston, but it's about to get a lot tougher for those who mistreat them.
