WATCH SEASON 1

EPISODE ONE – TUGGER

Episode Summary: Out hiking with a family friend, Siberian Husky Tugger plunges 70 feet into the Atlantic Ocean. With a timely assist from a tourist boat, the dog is plucked from the freezing waters and rushed to his frantic owners. But now his life depends on the swift action of an emergency veterinary team — and every second counts.

EPISODE TWO – STUKA

Episode Summary: Stuka, an irrepressible dachshund, survives the near-death trauma of split surgery stitches, only to have a herniated disc paralyze his lower back. Fearing the very worst, Stuka’s loving owners struggle to rehabilitate his fragile body.

EPISODE THREE – RUFFLES

Episode Summary: A rare Archangel pigeon mysteriously appears on a couple’s doorstep. They take the bird into their home and their hearts — and when Ruffles falls ill with multiple lipomas, they go to truly unbelievable lengths to save their “blessing.”

EPISODE FOUR – OPUS

Episode Summary: When Opus – one-half of an inseparable pair of ferrets – collapses unexpectedly, the initial diagnosis is a blockage in his digestive system. But surgery reveals that the problem is worse than originally feared – and may be more than even the vet’s skills can repair.

EPISODE FIVE – JESSIE

Episode Summary: A family is shocked when their Shih Tzu suddenly loses the use of his back legs. After frantically rushing Jessie to the clinic, they learn his lower spine has collapsed. The only hope is life-saving surgery out of province – and soon.

EPISODE SIX – PATCHES

Episode Summary: When an adored tabby disappears, even the neighbourhood children join in the search. After two long days, Patches is found cowering in a garage, his tail brutally mangled. As a mother and son wait anxiously, the emergency veterinary team goes to work.

EPISODE SEVEN – SCHATTEN

Episode Summary: It’s love at first sight for a Weimaraner and his owner, and the connection only grows stronger with time. Then one evening, without warning, Schatten goes into seizure. A frantic race to the hospital follows – and a harrowing choice.

EPISODE EIGHT – MAX THE DOG

Episode Summary: When an Akita’s stomach suddenly swells alarmingly, a race against time begins. The diagnosis: canine bloat, or gastric dilation-volvulus (GDV): a life-threatening, emergency condition that can cause death within a matter of hours.

EPISODE NINE – PUMPKIN

Episode Summary: A young girl’s first pet, Pumpkin the cockatiel, becomes a painful learning experience when her feathered friend is found floating unconscious in the toilet. A quick-thinking neighbour helps to resuscitate the bird, but as Pumpkin’s rescuers race him to the clinic, the prospects appear grim.

EPISODE TEN – MAX THE CAT

Episode Summary: A daughter departs for university, leaving beloved tabby cat Max in her mother’s care. When Max is stricken with blood clots, a fateful decision needs to be made. But whose is it now to make?

EPISODE ELEVEN – NINA

Episode Summary: Nina the pygmy goat is beloved in her community. When she is stricken with chronic mastitis and no vet can be found to perform a much-needed double mastectomy, two best friends must labour against the odds to save her life.

EPISODE TWELVE – SNORRI & THOR 

Episode Summary: A couple adopts a pair of Labrador Retriever-Husky mix pups, and a powerful bond is quickly formed. But when a terrible car accident separates Snorri and Thor forever, the owners face a heart-wrenching drive of hundreds of miles in hope of saving the survivor.

EPISODE THIRTEEN – TAZ 

Episode Summary: Taz, an Aussie Shepherd, is struck by a speeding car and dragged 300 feet. Miraculously, he is unharmed — or so it appears until, days later, the true consequences of the accident become suddenly and painfully apparent.
