    James Hartnett:

The Pet Network is pleased to announce that accomplished funny man and thespian James Hartnett has joined Pet Central as a host, interviewer and segment reporter.

The University of Toronto trained writer, actor and comedian became a well-known figure in Ontario comedy circles when he directed Canada's longest running comedy revue, The Bob, while still attending school. At the same time, he established himself as a fixture in Toronto's alternative comedy scene as a standup comic and sketch actor.

Since training at The Second City, Hartnett has frequently performed in TV commercials, comedy productions, and most recently served as a cast member and contributing writer on Out There with Melissa Dimarco, on Global Television.

Having grown up on a farm, Hartnett is a self-professed life-long animal lover. He says that he considers the opportunity to be involved with Pet Central to be an exciting addition to his eclectic career. He will be sharing hosting duties with renowned reporter and news anchorperson Alex Pierson.

Pet Central's new season of shows begins in October.
