SERIES FINALE – Episode Ten: The Greatest American Dog Is…

The fallout from the previous elimination leaves one dog owner on edge. The final three are subjected to a rigorous interview process and practical exam by the judges, but not everything goes according to plan. A final “Best In Show” challenge puts the remaining canine competitors to their greatest test yet.

Episode One: Here’s To Man and Woman’s Best Friend
Monday April 2
Twelve dogs and their owners arrive at Canine Academy with a common goal in mind: to win the title of Greatest American Dog. Humans and canines take part in a game of Doggy Musical Chairs, while the Talent Show challenge pits Team Aloha against Bark’N'Wag High and Disco Dogs — and leads to the first elimination.

Episode Two: He’s A Farter, Not A Fighter
Monday April 9
A pint-sized pooch with a Napoleon complex bullies a bigger canine competitor, while another adventurous pup gets rushed to the doggy hospital after injuring itself in the yard. The dogs and their owners get put through their paces at a military-style boot camp, and have their mastery of “pet-iquette” put to the test at a makeshift restaurant called Bone Appétit.

Episode Three: The Fast & The Furriest
Monday April 16
Elvis and David work hard to shatter Elvis’s reputation as a “Jack Russell Terrorist.” Tempers flare when the owners must work together to help their dogs navigate a difficult obstacle course with tangled leashes. A challenging relay race featuring Frisbees, hoops, a sled pull and more proves a further test of teamwork.

Episode Four: Top Dog Model
Monday April 23
While the dogs continue to bond, jealousy drives a stake into the heart of the relationship between two of the owners. At the Dog Bone Challenge, some owners are shocked to find out they don’t know their dogs as well as they think. Later, the pooches must put their best paw forward in a high-pressure session with a professional photographer — but not all of them are ready for their close-up.

Episode Five: Dancing With The Dogs
Monday April 30
The competition gets dirty when the dogs have to prove their balance and coordination in the “Mud Doggin’” Dog Bone Challenge. As the owners and their dogs train for the “Dancing With The Dogs” competition, Brandy becomes increasingly stressed to find that Beacon is ignoring her. Bill and Star continue to feel homesick, but the generosity of a fellow competitor helps to ease the pain somewhat.

Episode Six: Salvador Doggy
Monday May 7
Two owners take time out from the competition to get to know each other — and their dogs — better. An I.Q. challenge proves a tough hurdle for the pooches (and some of the owners). Meanwhile, the “Salvador Doggy” challenge puts both human and canine artistic talents to the test.

Episode Seven: The Big Dig
Monday May 14
Beth Joy is upset when Bella Starlet begins behaving aggressively. The house is divided when a lesson in dog training leads to a confrontation between JD and Laurie – and later between two of the judges. The “Best In Show” challenge is one of the toughest yet, as each dog must lead three Golden Retriever puppies safely through a hedge maze.

Episode Eight: My Dog Can Fly
Monday May 21
With only five dogs remaining, the competition intensifies – and JD is concerned when he notices Galaxy limping after one of the challenges. The dogs are joined by an unexpected 9,000-pound guest, as Suzy the elephant uses her enormous size to find out which of the pooches is the most courageous. Meanwhile, the “Stunt Dog” challenge – featuring ramp, balance beam and zip-line — puts both canine and human fortitude to the test.

Episode Nine: Doggie Swap
Monday May 28
An injury threatens to pull a canine front-runner out of the competition. The final four fight it out in a test of endurance and loyalty, and one owner tries to strike a deal with his strongest competitor. The judges face their toughest decision yet.
